Terms & Conditions
To ensure a smooth workflow and effective communication between the artist and the commissioner, it is essential to establish clear terms and conditions. These guidelines will help set expectations and foster a positive working relationship. By agreeing to these terms, both parties can focus on creating and enjoying the artistic process without misunderstandings. Let's work together to make this collaboration a success!
1
Please note that commissions will only be accepted through emails or personal DMs via social media (ie Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, Discord). Commission requests made through a third party will not be entertained due to security purposes and safety of both commissioner and artist.
2
Commissioners should provide at least one reference for the characters they want commissioned and drawn. Multiple references are more than welcome, as they help ensure a more accurate depiction of the desired character. This practice enhances communication and leads to a more satisfying final artwork.
3
To ensure a smooth commission process, an upfront payment or deposit will be required as a guarantee. The deposit amount will vary depending on the number of characters involved, typically amounting to half the total commission price. This approach helps secure your project and allows to begin work promptly.
4
Once the commission is confirmed, an invoice will be generated. All invoices will be processed solely through Stripe. If you would like to make a payment in ETH, please notify in advance.
5
Completion time for commissioned artworks will begin the day after the first deposit is received. This policy helps to address any potential time zone differences that could lead to confusion for both parties. A second invoice will be issued upon the day of completion to complete the transaction.
6
All artworks are created digitally and will be sent to you via email or DM's upon completion, with a Google Drive link. Please make sure to provide the correct email address for invoicing, as this will be the same email used to deliver your artworks.
7
There will be a few stages or phases of communication between the commissioner and artist:
a) Confirmation - Invoice will be issued.
b) Sketch phase - Confirming the sketch
c) Colouring phase - Confirming the base colours and possible editings
d) Final tweaks - A total of 2 final tweaks are allowed after completion. There will be an additional charge of USD20 per change after the 2 final tweaks.
8
If in any case the commissioner did not receive the artwork by the 3rd week upon completing their first deposit, please request a refund via Stripe immediately with the invoice provided. The refund amount will solely be the deposit amount as the artwork has not be completed, and a second invoice has not been issued.
9
If in any case the artist did not receive payment of the completed artwork by the 3rd week, the artist is entitled to pursue payment via Stripe.
10
For commercial use, there are a few extra terms and conditions to be applied.
a) Artworks are priced at base price + 300% of the original price, eg:
i. Character portrait (1 character) USD80 + USD240 = USD320
ii. Character portrait (2 characters) USD90 + USD270 = USD360
b) A total of 3 final tweaks are allowed after completion. There will be an additional charge of USD30 per change after the 3 final tweaks.
